Workshop Requirements to earn CEUs for Speech and Language Pathologists

There are five basic requirements to earn CEUs.

1. Complete the workshop.

2. Take and pass the Mastery Test.

3. Complete and submit the evaluation.

4. If you pass the Mastery Test, download and print the ASHA Participant form, fill it out and send it in within two week of taking the mastery test.

5. Meet the deadlines.

1. When you register for the workshop you have 90 days to complete it, including taking the mastery test and doing the evaluation. You can do it all in less time if you wish. When you have completed the workshop, you may take the Mastery Test at any time within that 90 day period. (See #5-Deadlines-for the coordination with the ASHA requirements.)

2. To access the Mastery Test you must go to the video viewing page of the Workshop that you have just completed.  For the Workshop Mastery Tests, click on the ‘TAKE Mastery Test’ link on the right-hand menu. The passing score for any of the Mastery Tests is 80%. You will receive your score immediately after submitting the test. Should you score below 80%, you will have one free opportunity to re-take the test. (If you do not receive the results, let us Know immediately.)

You must pass the Mastery Test to qualify for CEUs. If you do not pass after the second try, do not fill out the ASHA Participant Form. ASHA will not credit you with CEUs.

3. Your workshop evaluation allows us to improve the workshop, where possible—a requirement of ASHA. You will find the evaluation on the right-hand menu of the  workshop video viewing page under “Completing Workshop.”

4. TGFA receives information on the first three requirements electronically. However, for you to receive CE credits, we must receive the fourth requirement, the ASHA Participant Form, directly from you. The ASHA Participant Form contains your critical identification information for ASHA. We cannot submit your results without it. You must complete the form and send the Original (it must be the original) within two weeks of passing the workshop to:

The Greenspan Floortime Approach®
7201 Glenbrook Road
Bethesda MD 20814

5. Deadlines Our ASHA reporting cycles end on the last day of each. If you pass the Mastery Test any time within a particular month, your results will be credited to you for that month. (When you started doesn’t matter.) ASHA requires that the information be sent to them within 45 days of the end of a cycle. You must send the ORIGINAL of your ASHA Participant Form to us within two weeks after taking the test so that we can meet the ASHA deadline. If we do not receive your ASHA Participant Form, we cannot submit your test results and you will not receive credit.

After receiving our forms, ASHA may take an additional month to process your credits. For instance, if you take a Mastery Test in June, you may not see the credits posted to your record until September.
