Examination (knowledge)-based components: | Experience (Application)-based components: |

These involve assessing a professional’s theoretical knowledge through various methods, such as: | These go beyond theoretical knowledge, focusing on a professional’s practical skills and ability to APPLY Greenspan Floortime® effectively with a variety of children: |
Mastery Tests: These evaluate a professional’s understanding of the theory and principles of the Greenspan/DIR™ Model, covering topics like developmental milestones, emotional interaction, and individualized learning differences. | Video Submissions: Professionals record sessions with children and submit them for review. This provides an opportunity for Master Trainers to assess their interaction skills, responsiveness to the child’s cues, and overall implementation of Greenspan Floortime® principles and techniques. |
Case study analysis: Professionals are presented with real sessions and asked to analyze them, demonstrating their ability to apply theoretical knowledge to practical situations and develop developmentally appropriate goals and intervention plans. | Feedback and Reflective Self Analysis: Professionals must recieve actionable feedback to gain hands-on experience learning to adapt their applicaiton of techniques while providing Greenspan Floortime®. Reflecting on your sessions, integrating professional feedback, analyzing the child’s responses, and basing your ‘next step’ on all of this information is necessary to master Dr. Greenspan’s child-centered framework. |
The Greenspan Floortime Approach® Certificate Training Program combines these two credentialing approaches to ensure that professionals possess both the theoretical knowledge and practical expertise necessary to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children with developmental challenges and their families.
