Level 3 Greenspan Floortime® Certificate Training
Overview:
This Advanced Training Certificate prepares professionals to become a parent/caregiver Greenspan Floortime® Coach or Advanced Greenspan Floortime® Practicioner. It is designed for individuals who possess a deep understanding of Dr. Stanley Greenspan’s framework, recognize its broader applications beyond autism, and embody self-reflection.
Training Components:
Interactive training, discussion groups, and video submissions with feedback/conference calls.
Trainees will be able to…
- Understand a child’s developmental profile using the Greenspan/DIR Model
- Understanding the unique features of Greenspan Floortime® and its various applications.
- Identify the applicable techniques and principles of The Greenspan Floortime Approach® for a variety of children with different devepmental profiles.
- Coaches will identify elements of a caregiver’s profile, their strenghts and weaknesses, impacting their application of Greenspan Floortime®.
Experience-based Assessment:
Trainees will submitt 6 videos of 4 different children/families. The 1st and 5th, and the 2nd and 6th videos will be of the same children/families to show progress. Trainees will be assessed on their abiliity to provide Greenspan Floortime and communicate effectively using Greenspan Concepts and Terminology with the family,
Cost Structure:
($250 per month) Training Package Membership for a minimum of 3 months. Training can continue for longer than 3 months. Duration is based on the trainee’s ability to pass their Experience-based Assessment.
Ongoing Support and Access:
($9.95 per month) All trainees are required to maintain access to the growing body of lectures and materials at StanleyGreenspan.com. Additionally, trainees are required to ‘Continue their Education’ through semiannual video submissions showing clips of Greenspan Floortime sessions. This ongoing membership fee covers this semi-annual quality control and ongoing education accountability process.

Eligibility:
This training is intended for professionals who have demonstrated exceptional commitment to and understanding of The Greenspan Floortime Approach® and have completed Level 201 training.
The Level 3 Greenspan Floortime Certificate Training is an intermediate professional training that builds on foundational Floortime knowledge. It deepens practitioners’ understanding of developmental assessment using the Functional Emotional Developmental Milestones, the Individual Differences framework, and the practical skills needed to guide families and implement Greenspan Floortime with diverse children.
There are multiple levels of Greenspan Floortime professional training, each building on the previous. Lower levels introduce the core concepts of the Greenspan/DIR Model and basic Floortime implementation. Level 3 deepens clinical skills and assessment. Level 4 is the advanced certification for experienced practitioners. The progression ensures that certified practitioners have comprehensive, mastery-level knowledge.
The Level 3 Greenspan Floortime training is designed for therapists, educators, and clinicians who are already implementing the Greenspan Floortime Approach and want to deepen their clinical competence. It is particularly valuable for OTs, SLPs, and developmental specialists who work directly with children with autism and developmental differences.
